Panasonic VIERA TC-L42U30 42-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV REVIEWS PRICE

Panasonic VIERA TC-L42U30 42-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV. The Panasonic TC-L42U30 is a lightweight among LCD TVs. Unlike other LCD TVs, the Panasonic TC-L42U30 is not available with a 55-inch screen. A 55-incher might not be practical for the average consumer, but it certainly has a more dramatic appearance than a smaller 42-inch television. Those of us who like to go big or go home will greatly miss the larger screen size option. There is one bright spot, however; this television only consumes 80 watts of electricity. That's less than half as much as the next best product.

Weighing only 37.5 pounds, the Panasonic TC-L42U30 is a lightweight alternative to heavier LCD TVs. The lighter weight makes it easier to mount, which can be a stressful process with bulkier TVs; nobody wants to risk dropping and breaking an expensive television in the attempt to hang it on the wall. At 4.3 inches deep, it is a little bit on the chunky side for an LCD TV, but that's okay; LCD TVs are pretty thin in general, and this one will look great on your wall. Because of the smaller size, this television also consumes less energy. You'll be able to operate this TV for an entire year on only $16.

This LCD TV also features a multimedia card reader that allows you to browse photos on the television. That is certainly a nice bonus feature, but it may be redundant if you already own an SD or USB-capable DVD or Blu-ray player. If your DVD player already does the job, another slot for multimedia cards may not be that useful. If your DVD or Blu-ray player does not have an SD card reader, you will appreciate the support. Although USB ports have become a standard element of modern LCD TVs, multimedia cards enjoy much sparser support. If you own a digital camera that uses SD, you will be able to browse photos on the big screen with ease.
